'76 Million People and Me' is the story of Hitler, Stalin, Mao and Pol Pot trapped on a rowing boat to hell. As they travel, their conversation lurches from national anthems to the finer points of genocide. This dark comedy asks the audience how much do we really know about evil, and what is the cost of a human life?
A group of brave (insane?) souls step onto an empty stage to perform a play for the very first time – night after night. Entirely improvised with no script, no plot, no safety nets, tonight’s production could be a riotous farce, or a heartbreaking tragedy. Or maybe even both at the same time...

Poets Murray Lachlan Young & Clare Pollard explore the bizarre lives and stranger works of fantasy author Lewis Carroll; literary nonsense artist, author and poet Edward Lear and the lesser-known James Taylor, the proto-surrealist of the 16th century. Guests are encouraged to share their own nonsensical ponderings should they so wish!
