Award Winning Shows at Brighton Fringe 2021
We’ve Picked Out Some Prior Award Winners Who Are Back for This Year's Festival
Brighton Fringe Ltd will be pausing its mobile app contract in 2023 to focus instead on an improved website and box office.
Evaluation of the 2022 festival showed that 4.97% of box office transactions were processed through the mobile app, compared to 79.87% through the website, but with a similar cost, despite a discounted price from our current supplier.
This year, with investment being made into a new website and box office system, to deliver the rewrite required of the app and the continued positive user experience, Brighton Fringe would need to make a further significant investment.
Brighton Fringe is feeling the effects of rising inflation, and is operating with a significantly reduced staff team and budgets compared to pre-pandemic levels, whilst endeavouring to provide the same levels of services to participants.
Therefore, Brighton Fringe has made the difficult decision to pause the mobile app for the 2023 festival. We are currently exploring all other alternatives but will only invest in a product that Brighton Fringe feels proud of, and that delivers a great user experience as the 2022 version of the Brighton Fringe mobile app did. We will re-evaluate this decision ahead of Brighton Fringe 2024.
With our investment into a new website and box office system, we are confident that the mobile site will deliver a more streamlined user experience for Brighton Fringe audiences than it has done in previous years.
The first release of tickets for Brighton Fringe 2023 goes on sale to Friends of Fringe at 12.00 on 1 December and to the public on 2 December at 12.00.
