In this cabaret of first impressions, we introduce six performers who want you to get to know them. How long will that take? Hopefully, less than an hour.
As If You Know Me is a burlesque of identity that lays bare the acts of disclosure and withholding that occur as we try to meet each other. An exploration of performative authenticity through stand-up, song, dance, music and clown, this show asks us what it takes to connect with strangers, and if the point ever comes when we can say we really know even those closest to us.

Dubious Company is a group of theatre makers formed on Royal Central Speech and Drama’s
MA Advanced Theatre Practice. They are bringing As If You Know Me to the Brighton Fringe after a successful run at the Format Festival, Camden People's Theatre and the Lambeth Fringe.
