Gail is a poet, graffiti poet & artist. Known as Brain Pebble Poet taken from her poem, ”I've Got A Brain Pebble”. A poem, like a pebble, creates ripples when shared that can inspire/comfort us. In Aug 2022, she left her poetry booklet "If I only have now” in public spaces, like the right pebble, people could take the poems with them. Sharing poetry this way reflects her Buddhist practice and the Dalai Lama’s message that “compassion is the radicalism of our time.”
In 2023 she started spray painting her poems in public spaces, across the UK, working to an ethos of impermanence. They start as graffiti where they become part of their surroundings. They are placed knowing they will not last. but the words remain, hidden and hopefully remembered by those who've read them. Her latest poetry installation, spray painted on the Gulbenkian Arts Centre, celebrated National Poetry Day.
Her work has evolved onto large canvases (a new artistic direction born out of grief) and will be on show.
