We are in the Speed Queen, the last launderette on the Isle of Wight!

In a fictional laundry, we follow Pet, the ancient proprietor, as she divines the fates of the Island’s inhabitants through their dirty laundry. As we meet more characters, a picture of an Island ill-at-ease unfolds. Intertwining untold myths and hidden histories of the Isle of Wight with original music, Speed Queen is a dark solo comedy that explores the state of isolation and false-narratives in contemporary England.
