Photograph - originating from the Greek words phos and graphe, meaning to paint with light. The Space We Take depicts what happens when we dance with light.
The Space We Take is a collaborative project between photographer and dancer that explores the use of light to paint movement in the space. This exhibition photographically explores how we take up space as dance artists, through my photographic lens and through the dancers own voices. View bold, colourful images that play with light, texture and movement. This exhibition comments on the importance of the space we as dancers and movement artists take up in our communities. This exhibition by Hannah Mulligan invites attendees to dance with the lights used in creation, take photographs and share what taking up space means to them.
Come on this visual journey with us and explore what taking up space means to you.
