FAST FASHION is a term used to describe a highly profitable and exploitative business model based on replicating catwalk trends and high-fashion designs, mass-producing them at low cost. Oftentimes, this entails exploiting workers in inhumane conditions.
traSh is a moving, informative and highly visual solo show, where the ancient circus technique of hair suspension, rope, and straps are combined with movement and physical theatre in a counterweighted system.
The amount of clothes used for this show is equivalent to the average weight of clothes each person buys in a year in Europe: 15.6kg.
The aim of the show is to raise awareness and interest on a theme that touches us all: the clothes we wear, and the choices we make when we buy them.
