Gemini Print & Brighton Fringe DESIGN for PRINT Award 2022

With more than 700 events to enjoy there is a lot of excitement about Brighton Fringe 2022 launching on Friday 6 May.  Recognised for combining award-winning international acts with inclusive community involvement, this year’s event has already grown from the 630 events in 2021 that attracted audiences of more than 170,000 people.

Proud to be the long-standing print partners to Brighton Fringe, the Gemini Print Group team are once again supporting the artistry and creativity of all the performers, venues, producers, and designers with the popular DESIGN for PRINT Award 2022. 

This year, 100 venues host Brighton Fringe events. This year Gemini Print selected the iconic BOAT, Brighton Open Air Theatre, to celebrate the launch of the Award. The BOAT Fringe programme includes some of the most exciting, up-and-coming theatre companies in the UK, with everything from hard-hitting drama to laugh-out-loud comedies.

Gemini Print’s Sales Director, Mark Tulley, was joined by host Alfie Ordinary at Drag in the Park: Lipsync Extravaganza as he welcomed Brighton’s finest lipsync assassins to the turf with performances from the reigning queen of Brighton’s Big Drag Pageant Tayris Mongardi, Brighton drag icon Lydia L’Scabies, international drag star Alexis St Pete, queerlesque drag hag Alpha Bites, and Cilly Black. Well-known photographer Graham Franks was there to capture the moment that Mark was introduced pre-show to these fabulous acts!

Mark said “as the planet positive printing firm that has strong partnerships with the arts, community organisations, and education across the region it is always a pleasure for us to announce that the Gemini Print and Brighton Fringe DESIGN for PRINT Award is open for entries! The judging panel is looking forward to the challenge of reviewing all the entries, plus taking account of the level of votes and support from the public that any design has attracted. The winner will be announced at the Awards ceremony at the Brighton Fringe closing event on 5th June”.
